Nanku 22 was born from the collaboration between Rafa Bernabé and Pepe Mendoza. Crafted in Férez, at 700 metres above sea level, this wine brings together Alicante Bouschet and Touriga in a landscape far removed from the Mediterranean vineyards of Ferris. A handcrafted, limited-production wine that reflects the character of its origin and the shared vision of its creators.

The Origin
Unlike the other wines from Universo Ferris, Nanku 22 takes the project inland, away from the Mediterranean coast. The vineyards of Férez, located at around 700 metres above sea level, enjoy a more continental climate and a slower ripening process, giving the wine a distinctly different personality.
This collaboration between Rafa Bernabé and Pepe Mendoza combines two grape varieties with a mountain landscape, demonstrating that respect for origin goes beyond geographical boundaries.

The Process
Every stage of the winemaking process is guided by a single principle: intervene only where necessary to preserve the identity of the vineyard and the grapes. Rather than highlighting technique, Nanku 22 focuses on the quality of the fruit and the time required for the wine to find its own balance.

Nanku 22 is crafted with a philosophy of minimal intervention, allowing Alicante Bouschet and Touriga to express the mountain landscape from which they originate. Every decision throughout the process is made to accompany the wine rather than reshape it.
